CALL FOR PAPERS
The International Journal on Homelessness (IJOH) accepts continuous submissions, published as 1-2 issues annually. We welcome three types of articles: Original Research; Systematic Reviews; Discussion Pieces. Topics might include:
- Homelessness prevention
- Interventions to end homelessness
- Research on particular populations (i.e., youth, Indigenous peoples, women, rural/remote, newcomers, older adults, etc.)
- Research on the lived experiences of homelessness
- Comparative or epidemiological studies
- Qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods research
As part of our commitment to international knowledge exchange, we recognize the value of submissions, reviews, and revisions being conducted in one's preferred language. Therefore, while all publications are ultimately translated to English, we also accept submissions in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, and Arabic. Translation into English for final publication is available at no cost thanks to funding provided through the Institute of Global Homelessness.
All articles will be go through a double-blind peer review process. Articles should be in APA 7th format and fewer than 9,000 words for original articles (although exceptions may be made upon discussion with the Managing Editor), 7,500 words for systematic reviews, and 4,000 words for discussion pieces. For full guidelines and to submit, please visit https://ojs.lib.uwo.ca/index.php/ijoh/about/submissions.
